Your caregiving journey has concluded. Now what?

You spent substantial time and even dedicated your life to helping someone through their final days. Now that they’re gone, how do you move through your grief and renew your own life? Fox Valley Hands of Hope can help.

Individual support is available.

After one of our licensed clinicians determines your grief counseling needs, you will be paired with a FVHH volunteer who is extensively trained in all aspects of grief support. The volunteer will work with you for 16 months, providing a “listening ear” and identifying additional resources as needed during this difficult time – all at no charge to you. For adults 18 years of age and older. Call 630-232-2233 for more information.

This ongoing monthly support program is for caregivers who are seeking a new life after their caregiving role has concluded. Life After Caregiving addresses topics such as navigating through grief and the loss of your role as a caregiver. This is an open group; however, registration is required.

For more information or to register, call 630-232-2233

Life After Caregiving is sponsored by Moss Funeral Home

The Fox Valley Hands of Hope M.A.L.E.S. support group was developed specifically for men who are grieving the loss of a loved one, providing a forum where guys can “let go” and freely express their thoughts and feelings with other men who are experiencing the same challenges.

M.A.L.E.S. group sessions are facilitated by trained, experienced group leaders. This open (drop in) group meets the second Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts provided. For more information, call 630-232-2233 or email

Fox Valley Hands of Hope also partners with select area organizations to provide support for caregivers after their loss. For these programs, all registration is handled by our partner organizations. For a list of our partners, click HERE.
