Yesterday, the Women’s Business Council of St. Charles Chamber of Commerce (WBC) hosted a luncheon to announce and recognize their three 2020 charities, which included Fox Valley Hands of Hope! Not All Wounds Bleed and Kane County Repertory Theater were also in attendance as recipients for 2020. Lunch was accompanied by presentations from all of the benefiting organizations.

Fox Valley Hands of Hope Executive Director, Beverly DeJovine was accompanied in her presentation by former client and current volunteer, Kalli.  Kalli shared her story on her experiences with FVHH to the WBC. In her presentation she stated, “There’s a lot to tell, but everybody’s story is different. When you are touched by grief, your whole life changes. Although I wish that it never happened, a new window opened and I am here today because I see hope.” FVHH would like to extend a warm thank you to Kalli for bravely sharing her story with others.

FVHH sees hope in the many supporters that continuously show endless compassion to those suffering. We see hope in our volunteers that chose to be a comforting presence to those who need it most. Thank you to the WBC for being such a generous supporter of Fox Valley Hands of Hope. The support of organizations like the WBC and of individual donors ensures that we can provide exemplary bereavement services at no cost to the community.
